The Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support and recognize purchasing leadership that accelerates the transition to a prosperous and sustainable future. The Annual Summit brings together over 400 purchasing and sustainability professionals, suppliers and NGO experts from diverse sectors and regions to share and promote sustainable purchasing best practices for organizations.

Convening this week in Portland, Oregon, we thought it timely to report on how SPLC’s sustainability actions linked closely to the global initiatives outlined by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for their event last year.

Event organizers are working diligently during this year’s event to continue their progress with the UN SDGs and raise the bar on the Summit’s sustainability initiatives. We look forward to seeing first hand how their actions enhance this conference of sustainability professionals and move the planet toward a better future.
