We are Committed to Net Zero Virtual Events for Our Clients
“The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.”
~ Nelson Henderson
This quote represents our values at MeetGreen. We believe in a sustainable future for the planet and her people. We are committed to making a difference.
Your Carbon Footprint
Even when you meet virtually, there is a carbon footprint. Your device, the network, data centers and the meeting platform are all being powered. It is significantly less than traveling to a destination and meeting in person, however it should be considered. Our work with clients as they transition to virtual meetings shows virtual events account for 99% less carbon emissions than in-person gatherings.
2020 Impact on Carbon Emissions
In 2020 alone, when it was impossible to safely meet in person, we measured 79,418,230 kg of CO2e saved through virtual attendance. That is equivalent to eliminating the emissions from more that 437 rail cars filled with coal, stretching 6.5 miles. By avoiding attendee and staff travel alone, we saved the equivalent of 734 trips to the moon and back!
MeetGreen Commitment to Net Zero Virtual Events
In 2021, MeetGreen is taking a stand and has committed to offsetting the carbon emissions for all of our client’s virtual events making them Net Zero Emissions Virtual Events. It may not always be in trees, but we will select a carbon offset project that supports the client’s mission and pays forward to the future.
Please join us in making a difference, one event at a time.
