Gathered in comfy chairs at a historic building on our 20th anniversary,
it was time to reexamine and realign MeetGreen’s vision and
values. While MeetGreen is a business and legal entity on paper,
it is actually a group of professionals who work hard to connect people
and make our slice of the world more sustainable. Without
these committed citizens, we have nothing to offer. We don’t rent
rooms, cater meals, or decorate show floors; rather, it is the knowledge
and talents of our people that brings value to our clients.
On this occasion, we asked ourselves and each other what makes it easy
to come to work in the morning, what our work means to us personally,
and what we believe in. When the answers were shared, something
marvelous occurred. From bookkeeper to conference manager to
sustainability director, a core set of values emerged, a set of values
each of us as individuals felt very passionate about. Seeing the full
list written on the board became a defining moment worth sharing:
