MeetGreen and the Technology Industry

Conference Management

It is hard enough to plan a conference, you should not have to teach your event team about submission systems, acceptance rates, proceedings, workshops, tutorials and poster sessions. As scientists, researchers, programmers and engineers you are addressing all aspects of software development including requirements, modeling, prototyping, design, implementation, generation, analysis, verification, testing, evaluation, maintenance, reuse, replacement, and retirement of software systems.

Our job is to provide the forum to share this information, further your research and connect with other industry leaders. To provide logistical support leading up to the conference and onsite management of all the moving parts. We have been excelling at our work in your community for over 20 years from the first conference in programming languages to last month’s open source robotics event in Europe. We have the knowledge, the expertise and the references to prove it.

Sustainability Training & Consulting

Today, technology companies are at the forefront of sustainable event initiatives and some of our most rigorous “green work” is providing consultation services to guarantee they maintain a leadership position, pushing the envelope and blazing the trail for others. Their willingness to share their knowledge and expertise through case studies, presentations and onsite tours has had a dramatic impact on sustainable events.

As early adopters in sustainable events, we often enlisted the support of our tech partners to go paperless and find electronic solutions. The demographics of the tech community provided the perfect match as individual participants were very interested in using their skills to lighten the conference’s ecological footprint.

We have a deep understanding of the tech world and what works at technology events

Humble Beginnings

Our first conference was a gathering of 2,500 researchers, programmers and engineers coming together to further programming languages and software engineering.

Papers were submitted that addressed all aspects of software development. The conference also included workshops, tutorials, poster sessions and panel sessions. Our understanding of the scientific and academic requirements for this type of event set us apart and MeetGreen quickly became known for the ability to working with diverse international volunteer committees. The business grew as we were referred to other events in the scientific community.

  • Rebecca Mebane is an excellent choice as project coordinator. She managed to develop a rapport with the organizers that smoothed over the rough spots. (Rebecca did an) outstanding job, (was a) great negotiator and was always mindful of the conference budget. Rebecca also prepared a cost analysis which is great for future SC conferences and events. Rebecca and her team were friendly and always had smiles on their faces.
