Our last #MeetGreenChat of the year was a topic about giving back to the community. CSR projects or Corporate Social Responsibility projects are a way for a company, organization, or an event to give back to their communities. Our discussions about CSR’s were thought provoking and gave us all something to think about for future opportunities on this topic. Here are some highlights from this month’s tweet chat.

Donations are a way to give back to the community. How does your event or company contribute to non-profits?
A7 We have a dozen or so free wellness events a year with yoga or zumba, and invite a local non profit to each to meet the attendees. We also ask the attendees to contribute in goods or money to that non profit. Books to Little Libraries, warm clothing/ COTS, etc. #meetgreenchat

Do you have plans to participate in a CSR during the holiday season personally or professionally? If so, what is the CSR?
MeetGreen was recently honored at an Impact PDX event and we planted trees via @treenation for all of the attendees. It was fun and a very accessible way to offse carbon. #MeetGreenChat

A9 Adopt a Child is big hear each year, about 4000 kids are connected with sponsors and receive gifts at the celebration. One year, we live streamed interviews with them to our marquee digital sign! They thought that was cool. #meetgreenchat pic.twitter.com/p7FLCRYFxb
