Amy Spatrisano Receives the First Ever Pacesetter Award from CIC
At an invitation-only luncheon October 8 at IMEX America in Las Vegas, the Convention Industry Council honored Amy Spatrisano, CMP, principal at MeetGreen, and four young meeting professionals with the first CIC Pacesetter Awards.
Karen Kotowski, CAE, CMP, and CEO of the Convention Industry Council, co-hosted the inaugural awards event with Terri Breining, CMP, CMM, president and CEO of the Breining Group, LLC.
The Pacesetter Awards, established to honor achievement in “real time,” as opposed to over a lifetime, will now be integrated into the Hall of Leaders celebration. Kotowski announced some changes to CIC’s signature Hall of Leaders awards, which celebrate lifetime excellence, achievement, and inspiration in individuals and has become the premier recognition program in the meetings and convention industry. It will become an annual event, instead of being held every other year.
